Fake News

Liberal new outlets The Daily Beast, New York Post and several others were fact checked on a fake news story they promoted, that made Eric Trump & Don Trump Jr. look like they skipped out on a tab at a pub during their recent trip to Ireland.

While visiting the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland, the brothers went on a pub crawl and landed in The Igoe Inn Bar and Restaurant. The bar is a local haunt that’s been open for over thirty years.

There, they were greeted by locals and given a picture of Doonbeg’s castles. They were also invited to pour a few ales for the patrons.

Bar owner Caroline Kennedy told The Irish Mirror.

“They were so lovely and down to earth and gave a great hello to everyone,”

“I said, ‘Come on lads, you have to come in and pull a drink,’ so they did.”

A video from the Irish pub shows Eric Trump speaking to the crowd and the brothers opening a tab for the entire pub.

As with most positive news stories about the Trump family, the Trump-hating mainstream media decided to run a false narrative about the event. And of course, the news flooded the internet.

After the Trump sons walked away without immediately paying the tab Kennedy reportedly joked that the Trumps didn’t carry any cash on them. But bar had been given a purchase order number from the golf course to cover the bill. Of course, by then the left-wing media had gone crazy and totally blown the incident out of proportion.

But the Igoe came to the brother’s defense in a post on their Facebook page.

Media outlets also suggested that the Trump family had gone to Ireland just to promote their golf course. They reported that the trip was costing taxpayers millions of dollars. However, the Trump brothers paid their own way for the trip.

What’s hateful about that?

BlazeTV’s Graham AllenAARON COLEN

A post by BlazeTV host Graham Allen about Christians praying was flagged by Facebook for violating the site’s community standards on hate speech.Ditch the fake news ==> Click here to get news you can trust sent right to your inbox. It’s free!

Blaze Media has appealed Facebook’s decision to censor the post, and is waiting to hear back from the social media company.

Tuesday, Allen posted a video to his Facebook page “Rant Nation with Graham Allen” on the topic of McLean Bible Church pastor David Platt praying for President Donald Trump on stage during a Sunday service.

Allen shared the video with a caption that read “Real Christians…Pray for everyone!!!”

It’s unclear what about the post was considered hateful, as it was not directed at any specific person, and the idea that a Christian should pray for everyone is not likely controversial to anyone familiar with the religion. One might even say that a call to pray for everyone is actually loving, not hateful.

“Free speech is under attack and according to big tech’s gatekeepers, calling for prayer is now hate speech,” a spokesperson for BlazeTV said in a statement. “This is why BlazeTV is such an important alternative and why the support from our audience is so crucial.

Look, big tech used our First Amendment to monopolize the conversation and now they are discarding free speech with the resolve and determination of a dictator. Blaze Media is an alternative to the mainstream media and now the mainstream media increasingly includes big tech. We will not back down when ideologues attempt to suppress the voice of our hosts,” the statement concluded.

The dispute with Facebook comes at the same time that BlazeTV host Steven Crowder is facing the demonetization of his videos on YouTube, spearheaded by complaints from a Vox employee who has accused Crowder of harassment and hate speech.

YouTube’s decision to demonetize Crowder came despite a determination that none of Crowder’s videos, on their own, violated the site’s policies. A YouTube statement cited a “pattern of egregious actions” which has allegedly “harmed the broader community.”

Peter Boykin Speaks At Greensboro NC City Council About Trumps Acknowledgement Of #LGBTPRIDE Month #MarchForTrump #AmericanPride #GayPride

I’m at City Council in Greensboro NC to give my monthly speech to trigger the left .. here is my speech.

“As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or See More even execute individuals…..on the basis of their sexual orientation. My Administration has launched a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality and invite all nations to join us in this effort!”

These words came straight out of the mouth of Donald Trump, a man the leftist gay community would have you believe is a homophobe. This is the same person who at the 2016 Republican National Convention, Trump promised “to do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens. … Believe me.” The same man who is EVERYONES President that also not only worked to comfort and support those with HIV from as far back as the 1980’s and who has recently in May tweeted these words “Great news today: My Administration just secured a historic donation of HIV prevention drugs to help expand access to PrEP for the uninsured and those at risk. Will help us achieve our goal of ending the HIV epidemic in America!”

This being June, and Pride Month I want EVERYONE to know in this city that many people in the Republican party just as much as Trump does, shows, and acts on it that we all support the WHOLE community, which includes it’s #LGBTQ !

Last Friday, Donald Trump became the first Republican president in American history to acknowledge LGBT Pride Month. This came two and a half years after he entered office as the first president of either party in American history to fully support marriage equality. These are facts – not fake news – and they represent a fundamental shift in the acceptance of gays and lesbians in the Republican Party.

Democrats didn’t want Trump to acknowledge LGBT Pride Month at all. They’d rather not have gay and lesbian voters know that this White House is spearheading an initiative to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide, led by U.S. Ambassador to Germany my friend Ric Grenell, the highest-ranking openly gay man currently serving in the Trump administration.

This same left didn’t want you to know is that there are wide swaths of gay and lesbian Americans who want the same things as their straight counterparts: border security, limited government, a strong military, and the tools to create wealth.

These gays and lesbians support an administration that stands strong against terror because we saw what happened at Pulse Orlando when a terrorist killed 49 of us in cold blood in the name of ISIS. These gays and lesbians support border security because we know that unchecked illegal immigration depresses wages, brings drugs and violence across the border, and we in Greensboro are susceptible to all of these things, too.

I make this plea to ALL, Being a REPUBLICAN DOES NOT MAKE YOU A CERTAIN RELIGION, and BEING of the GAY COMMUNITY DOES NOT MAKE YOU A CERTAIN POLITICAL PARTY

I again invite people to attend the MARCH FOR TRUMP JUNE 15 Downtown at Noon at Governmental Plaza for an AMERICAN PRIDE RALLY of Free Speech, We do ask those who attend that we keep this event positive, and about unity. All will be invited & we will not discriminate groups/individuals. This Event is Inclusive for EVERYONE no matter your race, gender, religion, sexuality, or political party. But this event will not be Anti-TRUMP

I URGE EVERYONE – ESPECIALLY my fellow Republicans to come together this month in PEACE and UNITY. STOP THE HATE and Lets Work Together to Make America and Greensboro a Great Place for EVERYONE.

Full Disclosure some words from this speech come directly from a Great Gay Black American called Rob Smith.

Washington (AFP) – US President Donald Trump denied on Sunday that he had called Meghan Markle “nasty” just days before heading to Britain to be hosted, and lavishly feted, by other members of the royal family.

And yet the remark about the American-born Dutchess of Sussex is heard clearly on a tape of a Trump interview with the British tabloid The Sun.

Trump’s tweet Sunday came a day before his three-day state visit is to begin with a pomp-filled ceremony at Buckingham Palace followed by lunch with 93-year-old Queen Elizabeth II.

He tweeted: “I never called Meghan Markle ‘nasty.’ Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold! Will @CNN, @nytimes and others apologize? Doubt it!”

On the tape, the interviewer points out that Markle, who married the queen’s grandson Prince Harry in 2018, had been critical of Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign, saying “she’d move to Canada if you got elected; turned out she moved here.”

“Well, a lot of people are moving here, so what can I say,” Trump replied. “No, I didn’t know that she was nasty.”

And yet he went on to say he thought that as princess “she’ll do excellently, she’ll be very good, she’ll be very good. I hope she does.”

– ‘Listen for yourself!’ –

An official Trump campaign Twitter account had rather bizarrely called attention to the “nasty” comment on Saturday by linking to a video of the interview and suggesting the president had not used the word; it urged people to “Listen for yourself!”

Markle will not be meeting with Trump, though the official reason given is that she remains on maternity leave with her three-week-old son Archie.

Trump further roiled the waters ahead of his visit by weighing in on Britain’s unending Brexit woes, throwing his weight behind former foreign secretary Boris Johnson to succeed Prime Minister Theresa May and suggesting Britain should leave the European Union without a departure deal if better terms can’t be reached.

The Sun called Trump’s remarks a “bombshell intervention” and a “major breach of protocol” by a foreign leader.

The president said he was not giving an outright endorsement to any candidate to lead Britain’s ruling Conservative Party, but also said that he liked Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

Hunt on Sunday played down any awkwardness over Trump’s visit.

“I don’t think it’s going to disrupt the welcome at all,” he said on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” because the British had learned “from the president that you know regularly we have to agree to disagree…

“It doesn’t affect the fact that we have the most important partnership that there is in the world for freedom, democracy, the rule of law.”

In addition to Markle’s remark about moving to Canada, she had also called Trump “misogynistic” and “divisive” during the 2016 campaign, feelings that a good number of Britons appear to share.

Large anti-Trump protests are expected during his visit, and a huge blimp of Trump as a baby in diapers is being readied to fly over the city if police allow it.

Markle’s absence may be conspicuous in one way: Trump is bringing all four of his adult children and their spouses to London and, according to The Sun, said he wants them to hold a “next generation” meeting with Princes William and Harry.

“I think my children will be meeting them,” Trump said. “It would be nice.”

President Trump heads to Europe: Pomp, circumstance, turmoil, ‘fake news’ and remembering D-Day

President Trump is in Europe for a weeklong visit that is both ceremonial and official: It will include a state visit and an audience an lavish dinner with Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family in London, D-Day commemoration ceremonies on both sides of the English Channel and his first presidential See More visit to Ireland. His visit to the United Kingdom comes days before British Prime Minister Theresa May will step down as head of the Conservative Party on Friday for failing to secure a Brexit deal. Trump has praised her her rival, prime ministerial hopeful Boris Johnson, saying that he thinks he would do “a very good job.” Trump is not expected to meet with London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who called him a “global threat.” Trump has called Khan a “twin” of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, only “shorter.”

Trump stirred controversy when, in an interview with the Sun, he referred to Meghan Markle, the American-born Duchess of Sussex, as “nasty” for her past criticism of him. (Markle, who just gave birth last month, was not expected to meet with Trump this week.) Trump pushed back Sunday against the report, tweeting: “I never called Meghan Markle “nasty.” Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold!” The Sun posted the audio of the interview on its website.

China and Mexico ready to talk
China and Mexico, the two largest sources of U.S. imports who face the possibility of new tariffs in the coming weeks, are reportedly willingness to negotiate with Washington over escalating trade issues. On Sunday, Beijing reportedly released a governmentpolicy paper on trade issues, accusing the Trumpadministration of scuttling the negotiations, which stalled in May.

While saying Trump’s “American First” policy is hurting the global economy, China also said it is willing to negotiate. Mexico, meanwhile, rushed a delegation to the U.S. to discuss immigration issues, following the Trump administration’s threat last week to impose tariffs on all Mexican goods entering the U.S. if the Mexican government fails combat the migrant crisis at the border.

Gillibrand town hall gets heated
Things got heated at a Fox News town hall in Iowa Sunday when Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. used the platform to blame the network for allowing discussions of infanticide in debates about abortion and women’s reproductive rights. When asked by a retired pediatric nurse named Susan about her stance on late-term abortions, Gillibrand pivoted to an attack on Fox News. Gillibrand accused Fox of fueling what she called the infanticide “red herring” and “false narrative” by devoting 6.5 hours of coverage to the debate, including comments from guests on the network. Town hall moderator Chris Wallace cut her off.

“Senator, I just want to say, we’ve brought you here for an hour,” Wallace said. “We’ve treated you very fairly. I understand that maybe to make your credentials with the Democrats who are not appearing on Fox News you want to attack us. I’m not sure it’sfrankly very polite when we’ve invited you to be here.”

A defiant Roy Moore brushed aside Donald Trump’s warning not to run for Senate again, telling POLITICO on Wednesday that Alabama voters are capable of deciding for themselves whether he’s fit for office.

“The president doesn’t control who votes for the United States Senate in Alabama,” Moore said in a phone interview. “People in Alabama are smarter than that. They elect the senator from Alabama, not from Washington, D.C.”

The scandal-plagued former judge said he is “seriously considering” running for Senate again and plans to decide in a “few weeks.”

Moore’s recalcitrance comes as Republicans, including Trump, are warning him to stay out of the race against Democratic Sen. Doug Jones. Republicans view the Alabama contest as a linchpin of their Senate majority — ousting Jones in 2020 would give the GOP a larger cushion with the party mostly on defense on the Senate map.

Jones narrowly defeated Moore in a special election in 2017 amid allegations of sexual misconduct by Moore with young girls decades ago. Those allegations emerged after Moore won the GOP nomination by defeating the Trump-endorsed candidate, then-interim Sen. Luther Strange.

Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that he has “NOTHING” against Moore, despite the sexual misconduct allegations against the former judge. But, he wrote, Moore “cannot win, and the consequences will be devastating.” That came after Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., also tweeted at Moore to steer clear of the race.

Top allies to Senate Republican leadership have made clear they view Moore as the best chance Democrats have to maintain the seat.

“We believe most Alabama Republicans realize that nominating Roy Moore would be gift wrapping this Senate seat for Chuck Schumer,” said Steven Law, president of Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

Moore is convinced he could capture his party’s nomination in the face of the president’s opposition again. He said some Republicans are fearful that he still has support in the state.

“They know I’ll win,” he said. “That’s why they’re upset.”

He also continues to deny the multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior against him that were reported on during the 2017 race. “It was fake news then, [and] it’s fake news now,” Moore said.

Republicans have believed for weeks that Moore was likely to run for Senate again. They also acknowledge there’s little they can do to stop him, and that he has a hard-core base of supporters in the state that likely gives him both a high floor and low ceiling of support. Alabama election laws require winning a majority of the vote to secure a party nomination, so Moore could have an opening to make a runoff in a crowded primary field.

Opposition to his potential candidacy has been fairly unified throughout the party. Sen. Todd Young of Indiana, the National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman, had spoken with Trump in recent weeks and raised concerns about Moore, according to two people familiar with the discussion.

Trump’s tweet Wednesday was widely praised by Republicans, who believe the president is uniquely able to chip away at Moore’s support given his popularity among the GOP base in deep-red Alabama.

President Trump has undoubtedly received the most negative press coverage of any president in American history.

In May, 2017, the Shorenstein Center at Harvard reported that in the first 100 days of his presidency, 80% of the media’s coverage of President Trump was negative, compared to 41% for his predessesor, Barack Obama.

Data Collected by
The Shorenstein Center at Harvard

According to the Harvard report, American journalists are not the only ones unfairly covering the President. According to their report, European reporters were more likely than American journalists to directly question Trump’s fitness for office.

It has been a pattern since President Trump was inaugurated well over a year ago. Coverage of the White House on the “Big Three” broadcast networks — ABC, CBS and NBC — remains 91 percent negative, according to a new study by the Media Research Center, which has been tracking the phenomenon since Mr. Trump hit the campaign trail in 2016.

It was over 90 percent hostile then — and remains so now. The trend is unprecedented, according to the analysis.

The conservative press watchdog monitored nightly evening networks newscasts throughout January and February to find that anchors and correspondents uttered 10 times more negative comments about the president than positive statements. Analysts examined over 500 stories.

Out of a total of 712 evaluative comments made on the air, only 65 were positive, or 9 percent. The rest — 647 comments — were negative, amounting to 91 percent. The ongoing Russia collusion investigation was the leading topic of choice, followed by immigration issues, the recent government shutdown, and the White House response to the Parkland student shooting.

President Trump said if the press would report the news fairly, his poll numbers would be much higher.

During an impromptu news conference by Trump on the South Lawn as he was departing for Japan, CNN reporter Jim Acosta asked the president if he was worried another investigation would hurt his chances for reelection in 2020.

“I don’t know. My poll numbers are very good. You don’t like to report them, but I guess we have a 48 [percent] today. We have a a 51. We have very good poll numbers considering. Now I have to tell you, if you people would give straight news, I would be at 70. I’d be maybe at 75. But you don’t give straight news. You give fake news. With fake news, I’m still winning the election,” Trump said.

“But if you gave serious, good news the way you’re supposed to, I’d probably be at 70 or 75 based on the economy alone,” he said.

Trump has an average 42% approval rating, according to RealClearPolitics. Quinnipiac’s poll has the lowest approval rating, at 38%, with Rasmussen Reports and Fox News’ polls the highest rating at 46%.

President Trump has insisted he was “extremely calm” during his meeting yesterday with top Democrats House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“I was extremely calm yesterday with my meeting with Pelosi and Schumer, knowing that they would say I was raging, which they always do, along with their partner, the Fake News Media,” he said via Twitter. “Well, so many stories about the meeting use the Rage narrative anyway – Fake & Corrupt Press!”

Earlier, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had pushed back against the notion that Trump’s feelings were hurt by Pelosi, D-Calif., who accused the president of engaging in a cover-up. Following Pelosi’s remarks, Trump abruptly walked out of a scheduled meeting Wednesday with top Democrats.

“The president’s feelings weren’t hurt. She accused him of a crime,” Sanders told reporters on the White House driveway Thursday morning. “Let that sink in. She didn’t say, ‘I don’t like you,’ she accused him of committing a crime after we spent two years going through this exhaustive investigative process with Bob Mueller and his team.”

Trump was scheduled to meet with Pelosi and Schumer, D-N.Y., on Wednesday morning to discuss prospects for an infrastructure deal.

“Instead of walking in happily into a meeting, I walk in to look at people that have just said that I was doing a cover-up. I don’t do cover-ups,” Trump told reporters in a seemingly impromptu Rose Garden press conference, complete with a new sign on the podium that read, “No collusion, no obstruction.”

The president said he would not work with Democrats on infrastructure unless they dropped their various investigations.

Sanders blamed Democrats for being laser-focused on the investigations and “unwilling and unable” to work on issues such as infrastructure or border security.

“It’s very hard to have a meeting where you accuse the president of the United States of a crime and then, an hour later, show up and act as if nothing’s happened,” Sanders told members of the media Thursday. “The idea of that is insane. I don’t think if one of your colleagues accused you of a crime, then you’d sit down and work on a story two minutes later with them and pretend as if that hadn’t happened.”

JAKARTA (Reuters) – A clash between Indonesian security forces and protesters angry over the result of last month’s presidential election raged for a second night on Wednesday, turning central Jakarta into a battlefield of tear gas, rubber bullets, rocks and firecrackers.

Protesters tore up slabs of pavement, destroyed street signs and set fire to food stalls and security posts but their numbers thinned as the night wore on. Indonesian TV showed dozens of riot police trying to sleep on debris-strewn streets.

The capital’s governor, Anies Baswedan, said six people were killed in the first night of rioting, which was concentrated in the sprawling textile market neighborhood of Tanah Abang. State news agency Antara reported that three hospitals had so far treated more than 350 people for injuries.

The unrest followed an announcement on Tuesday by the General Election Commission confirming that President Joko Widodo had beaten his challenger, former general Prabowo Subianto, in the April 17 poll.

Widodo won more than 85 million of 154 million votes cast but Prabowo alleged “massive cheating and irregularities” and refused to concede defeat. The election supervisory agency has said there was no evidence of systematic cheating, and independent observers have said the poll was free and fair.

‘PAID MOBS’

A crowd of protesters swelled outside the supervisory agency’s headquarters on Wednesday, some carrying wooden poles and some with toothpaste smeared around their eyes to mitigate the effects of tear gas.

Many left peacefully, but as night fell others hurled firecrackers and other objects at officers and set blazes as they tried to breach barbed wire separating them from police. Police responded with tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannon.

Medics were seen treating dozens of protesters affected by tear gas and using oxygen to revive some who had passed out.

Many of the protesters appeared to have come from outside Jakarta and police found envelopes containing money on some of the people they searched, national police spokesman Muhamad Iqbal told a news conference on Wednesday.

“This is not a spontaneous incident, this is something by design. There are indications that the mobs are paid and bent on causing chaos,” he said.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla called on Prabowo and his running mate, Sandiaga Uno, to rein in their supporters.

“When there is rioting the losses affect us all, the economy as a whole and the people. Remember, what happened in 1998 could happen,” he said in televised remarks, referring to rioting in Jakarta two decades ago in which about 1,000 people were killed.

Prabowo has called for peaceful protests and restraint.

“I urge all sides, the people who are expressing their aspirations, the police, the military and all sides to refrain from physical abuse,” he told a briefing on Wednesday.

His political party, Gerindra, said on Twitter: “We saw efforts to herd public opinion so that the peaceful protest would look like disturbing acts, with an end goal of discrediting Mr. Prabowo.”

LEGAL CHALLENGE

A Prabowo campaign official said his camp planned to contest the result of the election – which gave Widodo a 55.5% share of votes against 44.5% for his challenger – in the Constitutional Court on Thursday.

Prabowo also launched an unsuccessful legal challenge after he was defeated by Widodo in the 2014 election.

Analysts have said Widodo’s double-digit margin of victory means the opposition does not have a strong case to claim rigging. However, Islamist supporters of Prabowo could cause considerable disruption.

Islamist groups have in the past been able to mobilize mass support.

They organized a series of massive protests from late 2016 against then-Jakarta governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, the first ethnic-Chinese Christian to hold the job, who was subsequently jailed for insulting the Koran.

Authorities say 40,000 police and soldiers have been put on duty across Jakarta to maintain security this week. The government has also temporarily blocked some social media functions to prevent inflammatory hoaxes and fake news that could fan unrest.

Jakarta police tweeted on its official account a short video of topless men, some with heads shaven, squatting in two lines, with a caption that described them as “hundreds of rioters” who had been arrested.

At a news conference, police displayed suspects in orange jumpsuits as well as petrol bombs, makeshift arrows, sickles and cash in envelopes.

Police chief Tito Karnavian, showing reporters a sniper rifle with silencer and two revolvers that were seized from people arrested days before the rioting broke out, said: “There is an effort to provoke, to create martyrs, blame the authorities and invoke public anger.”
